The Village Herb Farm supplies fresh high-quality herbs to customers throughout northern Queensland.
Our boutique herb farm nestles between rainforest gullies in Kuranda, a thousand feet above Cairns. The microclimate is perceptibly cooler than the coastal plain, and we are on the edge of the fertile Tablelands. The herbs grow hydroponically outside in raised beds filled with locally mined scoria. We grow and pack our herbs and supply the top half of Queensland.
We specialise in fresh-cut culinary herbs, which we harvest, pack and deliver to supermarkets. To ensure that we can meet customer demand throughout the year, we work with a number of accredited growers across Australia.
Our herb range includes Basil, Bay Leaves, Chives, Garlic Chives, Coriander, Curry Leaf, Dill, Kaffir Lime Leaf, Lemongrass, Lemon Myrtle, Lemon Thyme, Marjoram, Mint, Oregano, Parsley (Curly), Parsley (Continental), Rosemary, Sage, Tarragon, Thyme, Lemon Thyme and Vietnamese Mint.
The Village Herb Farm has a small team of dedicated local employees, and we all take great pride in delivering a healthy, quality product to our community and to FNQ. We are members of the Kuranda Chamber of Commerce, Growcom and a host for Willing Workers On Organic Farms (WWOOF). Our distribution area is between Mackay in the south and Cooktown in the north.
